Promising Practices of Meaningful Engagement in the Conduct of Research

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) invited the public to participate in a webinar highlighting examples of promising practices of meaningful engagement in the conduct of research. They heard from PCORI-funded research and stakeholder partners about successful practices of patient and stakeholder engagement in all stages of the research process, from helping craft the research question to ensuring dissemination of the research results. Featured projects included:

  • Dr. Ken Wells (UCLA) will present with his patient partners, Pluscedia Williams and Loretta Jones on their project, “Long-Term Outcomes of Community Engagement to Address Depression Outcomes Disparities.”
  • Dr. David Loring (Emory University) will present with his patient partner, Brandy Parker on their project, "Cognitive AED Outcomes in Pediatric Localization Related Epilepsy (COPE)."
