Workshop/Webinar on Research Dissemination and Implementation Framework & Toolkit
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) sought input on evidence-based strategies for effective research dissemination and implementation (D&I). PCORI commissioned Mathematica Policy Research and its partners, AcademyHealth and Palladian Partners, to create a D&I Framework and Toolkit. These documents aim to help PCORI develop and execute strategic plans for sharing new information with key stakeholders. PCORI also aims to use the documents to ensure that important health care findings reach those who need them to make informed decisions.
Members of the public were invited to participate in this workshop via webinar. Using web-based communication tools, webinar participants were offered the opportunity to:
- Review the D&I strategies under consideration at PCORI;
- Apply the principles outlined in the framework and toolkit through a series of practical exercises based on actual research scenarios; and
- Provide their perspectives and insights to PCORI on how to effectively engage with health care stakeholders.
