PCORI Board of Governors to Consider Advisory Panel Membership Slate
WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 20, 2013) – The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Board of Governors will hold a public teleconference and webinar on Tuesday, March 26, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. ET. The Board will consider for approval members for PCORI’s first four advisory panels.
The Board will consider slates that include patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and other members of the healthcare community to serve on advisory panels on Assessment of Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment Options; Improving Healthcare Systems; Addressing Disparities; and Patient Engagement. The panels, which will have 21 members each, will assist PCORI’s staff, Board and Methodology Committee in:
- Identifying, refining and prioritizing research questions.
- Providing needed scientific or technical expertise.
- Providing input on questions that may arise relevant to PCORI’s mission and work.
- Modeling full and meaningful patient and stakeholder engagement efforts.
Members of the public are invited to listen to the teleconference and view the webinar, although no public comment period is scheduled.
