PCORI to Consider Proposed Research Projects in Board Teleconference and Webinar
Washington, D.C. – The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Board of Governors will hold a public teleconference and webinar on Tuesday, December 18, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. ET. The Board will consider for funding approval PCORI’s initial slate of primary research projects, as well as the institute’s 2013 budget. The slate of projects that the Board will review results from the PCORI Funding Announcements (PFAs) issued on May 22. These PFAs sought proposals for comparative clinical effectiveness research that will provide patients and those who care for them with the evidence-based information needed to make better-informed health care decisions. These will be the first projects supported through a recurring funding cycle designed to build a portfolio of patient-centered outcomes research based on PCORI’s National Priorities for Research and Research Agenda.
