PCORI Holds Board of Governors Meeting in Boston

Agenda Items Include Advisory Panels, Methodology Report, Targeted Funding Announcements

Washington, D.C. – The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) will hold a public meeting of its Board of Governors on November 19 in Boston. The meeting, to be held from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm ET, includes a 30-minute public comment period at 4:15 p.m. A webcast will be available for participants who cannot attend in person. During the meeting, to be held at the Fairmont Copley Hotel, the Board will consider for approval charters for its first Advisory Panels on Patient Engagement, Comparative Assessment of Options, and Health Disparities. Such panels would include clinicians, researchers, patients and other stakeholders, and other experts with the appropriate experience and knowledge to assist PCORI in achieving its goals. The meeting also will include updates on:

  • PCORI’s Methodology Standards;
  • The institute’s 2013 budget;
  • Oversight and management of PCORIs Pilot Projects program; and
  • PCORI’s initial targeted funding announcements.
